Is your website bringing you customers, or sending them away?
Most small-business websites lose customers before they ever call. Take the 30-second check to see if yours does.
For small businesses, from a studio in Greater Vancouver
The 30-second website check.
Open your website on your phone and answer six questions. Nothing is sent anywhere.
- Is your phone number on the first screen? On your phone, without scrolling.
- Does it load in under three seconds?Count "one Mississippi" from the moment you tap.
- Is there a padlock next to the address? No "Not secure" warning in the address bar.
- Can you read it without zooming in?No pinching to make the text bigger.
- Are your reviews on the site?Your Google reviews, quoted or linked.
- Has anything been updated this year?Prices, photos, hours, the © year at the bottom.
A bad website loses you jobs you never hear about.
You've done the hard part: the training, the tools, the good reviews. Then the customer clicks through to your website, and that's where many of them quietly leave.
- 97% of people read online reviews when choosing a local business.1
- After reading good reviews, 54% go to the business's website next. Your website is often the last thing they see before they call.1
- 85% say clear contact details and opening hours matter when they choose.2
- On phones, 53% of visits are abandoned when a page takes longer than three seconds to load.3
Every one of those people was already close to calling you. A website that's slow, hard to read on a phone, or hides your number hands them to the next business on the list.

- Is the free homepage really free?
- Yes. We build it and send you a private link. If it's not for you, that's the end of it.
- Who are you?
- Fraser Web Co. is a small web studio in Greater Vancouver run by Rhett. You deal with the same person from the first email through launch and after.
- Will my email stop working?
- No. We only change the one record that points to your website. Email settings are never touched.
- What do I need to send you?
- A short form with your services, area and hours, plus any photos or logo you'd like on the site. About ten minutes.
- What if I stop paying monthly?
- Pay once: you get a copy of your site's files to host anywhere. Nothing upfront: after the 12-month minimum you can cancel with 30 days' notice, or buy the site outright and keep it. The details are in our terms.
- How fast can it be live?
- Usually within two weeks of saying yes, depending on how quickly the photos and changes come back.
